Air quality warnings and cooler temperatures on Monday

Air quality warnings remain in effect for Minnesota. For northern Minnesota, the air quality warnings expire at 8 a.m. Monday, but for southern Minnesota, the warnings are in effect until 12 p.m. Monday.

Monday will be cooler behind last night’s cool front. Highs will range from the low 70s to the low 60s north. These values ​​are still a few degrees above normal.

Winds will be relatively light from the north at 5-15 miles per hour. Tuesday will be bright and pleasant again, with highs in the low 70s to low 60s and cooler readings near Lake Superior.

The next chance of rain will be late Wednesday into early Thursday as an upper level disturbance moves through Minnesota.

Another clipper system will move primarily across the northern half of Minnesota on Friday, producing some thunderstorms. It will be warmer again on Friday.
