One person was hospitalized and another was arrested after a car crashed into a Valley Glen business in a two-car collision Saturday.

The accident occurred in the 6400 block of N. Wilkinson Avenue before 6 p.m., according to Los Angeles firefighters dispatched to the scene.

When they arrived, it was discovered that a car involved in a two-car collision had crashed into a building on the side of the road, causing significant damage to the structure.

According to the fire department, one of the drivers was taken to a nearby hospital in an unknown condition.

Officials with the Los Angeles Police Department say one of the people involved in the crash was arrested for possible drunk driving.

The Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety was called to the scene to assess the structural integrity of the building and determine whether it was still safe for people to remain inside.
