One was killed in a head-on collision on Turner Turnpike

LUTHER, Okla. (KFOR) – One person was killed in a head-on crash in Luther Tuesday morning.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Turner Turnpike

According to OHP, the first vehicle, driven by 23-year-old Osvaldo Aguilar, was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane when it collided head-on with a tractor-trailer.

Aguilar was held for about 45 minutes before he was freed by Wellston and Luther fire departments. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
