Ekiti man arrested for raping four-year-old girl

The Ekiti State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps has arrested one Afolabi Ojo for allegedly raping a four-year-old student.

The command reports that the mother of the young girl reported the incident to the NSCDC Command in Ado-Ekiti where she informed officials that the attack occurred on Olujoda Street. The suspect was subsequently arrested.

During questioning, the girl revealed that the suspect took off her underwear and sexually assaulted her at the end of April.

Furthermore, the girl’s mother stated that her daughter confided in her about the incident.

However, the suspect denied all allegations and claimed he was wrongly accused.

The NSCDC Public Relations Officer in the state, Tolu Afolabi, confirmed that a medical examination had been carried out on the girl.

Afolabi disclosed that the medical report confirmed the rupture of the young girl’s hymen.

Furthermore, Afolabi stated that the command had commenced an investigation into the matter.
