Recent Southington High School Graduate Killed in Crash: Reports

SOUTHINGTON/BIDDEFORD, MAINE – A 2021 Southington High School graduate who moved to New Hampshire was killed in a motorcycle accident in Maine late last week.

According to the Bangor Daily News in Maine, the victim was identified as Zachary Swain, 21.

The Daily News, citing state police, reported that Swain was thrown from his motorcycle while exiting the Maine Turnpike in Biddeford, Maine, on Friday evening.

According to the Maine newspaper, Swain was pronounced dead at the scene.

Swain’s online obituary listed him as a 2021 graduate of Southington High School and a current resident of Marlborough, New Hampshire

Swain was engaged, the obituary said, worked in the construction industry and was an avid disc golf player.

Swain’s funeral is scheduled to take place on Thursday, May 9th, with calling hours on Wednesday, May 8th. Both will be held at Plantsville Funeral Home in Southington.
