11-year-old girl among victims allegedly sexually abused by Toronto man: police

A Toronto man who allegedly sexually abused a woman and two girls, one of whom was 11 years old, has been arrested, police said.

According to police, the three separate incidents occurred earlier this week in the area of ​​Wilson Avenue and Jane Street.

In the first incident on May 7, police said officers were called to the area at 8 a.m. after the suspect approached a group of 14-year-old girls and sexually assaulted one of them. The suspect fled the scene, police said.

The second and third incidents occurred two days later, on May 9th.

At 8:25 a.m., the suspect approached a 34-year-old woman in the area and sexually assaulted her, according to police. According to police, five minutes later an 11-year-old girl was approached and sexually abused by the suspect. After both incidents, the suspect fled the scene.

It is unclear what physical injuries, if any, the victims suffered.

Police identified 44-year-old Toronto resident Jimmy Viteri as a suspect in all three incidents and arrested him Thursday.

Viteri is charged with sexual assault, two counts of sexual battery and two counts of sexual assault of a person under 16 years old. He was scheduled to attend a bail hearing on Friday morning. The charges still have to be tested in court.

Police fear there could be more victims.
