DISCUSSION:

During the night and into the early hours of this Tuesday, numerous showers and thunderstorms moved through Eastern Kentucky.

We will see another breakthrough during the overnight hours.

However, it should be noted that this system is located further south of the Hal Rogers Parkway, where there has already been plenty of rain over the past week and a half.

LOOKING AHEAD:

So not only do we have to deal with the possibility of localized flooding, but we are also seeing a return of heat and humidity.

The 90 mark made a comeback in some places today and will continue to be expected in some places on Wednesday, with a higher probability on Thursday and Friday.

In some places, heat levels could reach triple digits.

Please be careful if you must be outdoors. Make sure you follow safety precautions and stay hydrated.
