Man arrested after escaping from Palm Coast hospital, officials say

A man was arrested Saturday after he escaped from a Palm Coast hospital without obtaining medical clearance, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office. Officials said the man, 29-year-old Anthony Romine, was at AdventHealth for a medical examination after he was initially arrested on a warrant for petty theft. Police began searching for Romine, even using a FireFlight helicopter. Officials later said they were able to successfully end the manhunt and reassure the community that the suspect had been arrested.

A man was taken into custody Saturday after escaping from a Palm Coast hospital without obtaining medical clearance, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said the man, 29-year-old Anthony Romine, was at AdventHealth for a medical evaluation after initially being arrested on a warrant for petty theft.

Police began searching for Romine and even deployed a FireFlight helicopter.

Officials later said they had successfully concluded the manhunt and assured the public that the suspect had been taken into custody.
