Crews battle massive fire at northwest Atlanta apartment complex

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A massive fire broke out Saturday night at a northwest Atlanta apartment complex.

The fire broke out at the Bell Collier Village apartments on Howell Mill Road, just behind the United States Post Office.

According to firefighters, the third and fifth floors are being evacuated. They are fighting the fire in “defensive mode,” that is, from outside the building.

One dog has already been saved.

Atlanta News cameras first captured smoke billowing from the building.
