Woman sexually harassed on train

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward regarding a reported sexual assault on a train travelling between Cardiff and Treforest. Officers say the incident is believed to have taken place at around 10.30pm on Saturday 15 June.

The alleged victim was travelling from Cardiff Central Station to Merthyr Tydfil when she was approached by a man. A statement from British Transport Police said: “The man then sexually assaulted her before leaving the train at Treforest.”



He was described as a white man with spiky reddish-blond hair and freckles, aged between 30 and 40, wearing a navy jacket and blue jeans. A police statement said: “Did you witness the incident or do you have any information that could assist with the investigation?”
