An emergency call leads police to a man in distress from Lee Township

The following list contains current reports from the Midland County Sheriff’s Office and the Midland Police Department, compiled by reporter Tereasa Nims.

8:46 p.m. – A 75-year-old woman reported that an unknown man, between the ages of 30 and 40, approached her in her driveway and made lewd comments to her. The man drove off in a black SUV. The area was searched, but the vehicle was not located.

6:33 p.m. – Police responded to a crash with injuries at the corner of West Buttles and Jerome Streets.

5:27 p.m. – Police were called to a crash with injuries at the corner of East Wackerly Street and Whiffletree Lane.

2:56 p.m. – Officers were dispatched to a location in Greendale Township for a report of scrap metal in the roadway. Officers searched the roadway but found no hazards.

2:42 p.m. – Police responded to a domestic assault in the 3000 block of Washington Street.

2:30 p.m. – Midland County Animal Control received a complaint about two stray goats at a residence in Edenville Township. The goats were found but could not be captured.

2:02 p.m. – Midland County Animal Control received a complaint about a dog that escaped from a home in Edenville Township. The dog’s owner was contacted and a verbal warning was issued.

1:10 p.m. – Officers were dispatched to a location in Larkin Township for a vehicle in a ditch. Officers made contact with the 19-year-old driver of the vehicle and the 48-year-old owner. The vehicle was found to have no damage and was towed from the ditch.

12:10 p.m. – An officer was dispatched to a residence in Lee Township to perform community service. The officer waited while a 37-year-old Lee Township man gathered his personal belongings. The officer left the scene without incident.

9:40 a.m. – An officer met with a 28-year-old Homer Township man who reported attempts to open three credit cards in his name while he was on vacation. The man said no transactions were made and he has already contacted the Federal Trade Commission. There are no suspects.

2:00 a.m. – Officers were dispatched to Jerome Township on a missing person report. They located the missing 22-year-old man along with a 19-year-old woman. Officers transported the couple to their residence.

1:17 a.m. – Officers assisted EMS on a 911 call at a residence in Lee Township. Upon arrival, labored breathing and gurgling could be heard coming from outside. Officers and EMS entered the residence and found a 22-year-old man who appeared to have overdosed. EMS transported the man to MyMichigan Emergency Room.

12:08 a.m. – Police responded to a report of malicious damage to property in the 5300 block of Jefferson Avenue.
