Two unrelated incidents of sexual abuse in the area led to police launching investigations.

The first incident occurred last Wednesday around 1:30 p.m. at the Langhorne Square shopping center on Lincoln Highway in Middletown Township.

According to police, an officer on routine patrol noticed a woman sitting naked on the sidewalk in front of the main entrance to the shopping center and urinating.

When the officer approached her, the woman initially showed no willingness to cooperate and gave two false identities, police said.

Despite further attempts by officers to find out her real name and date of birth, she continued to ignore their request and was taken into custody, police said.

The woman’s behavior escalated when she resisted arrest and began to loudly cause disturbances at the police station, officials said.

Upon arrival at the police station, the arrested person was identified as a 48-year-old homeless woman.

The woman was charged with public nuisance, false identity to police and disorderly conduct. She was held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility and fined 10 percent of $15,000.

The second incident occurred around 11 a.m. last Thursday on Westview Avenue in Bristol Township.

The Bristol Township Police Department received a report at 1:34 p.m. that same day from a neighbor who claimed he saw his neighbor exposing himself.

According to the neighbor, the 67-year-old man left his house wearing only a towel around his waist. He then walked out into the street, took off the towel, stretched his arms (and the towel) in the air and exposed himself.
