Janamat Party suspends seven key members, including Secretary Sah

KATHMANDU, July 10: The Janamat Party has suspended its secretary Bishweshwar Prasad Sah (BP) and six other key members with immediate effect.

The announcement was made in a press release on Wednesday. Anita Kumari Mandal, member secretary of the party’s central disciplinary department, confirmed the suspension of central member Rameshwar Yadav and Sah.

Others suspended include Mirchaiya Municipality Secretary Krishna Chandra Sah, former municipal secretary Deep Narayan Sah, student leader Arvind Sah, general member Dhiraj Kamati and ward candidate Anita Kumari Yadav.

The Central Disciplinary Committee took a decision to this effect at the Central Contact Office in Mid-Baneshwor on July 4. The three-month suspension came after an internal investigation which found these members guilty of violating the party’s policies and statutes.

Mandal said the party leaders were suspended to maintain party discipline and comply with its constitution.
