Tennessee woman killed in traffic accident in Conecuh County: ALEA

CONECUH COUNTY, Alabama (WKRG) – A Tennessee woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Conecuh County early Sunday morning, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Rachel Marcum, 51, of Mooresburg, Tennessee, was killed when her vehicle collided head-on with a semi-trailer truck, according to the ALEA press release.


The press release states that Marcum was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday, July 7, on US 31, three miles north of Castleberry.

The ALEA Highway Patrol Division’s investigation is ongoing.
