Former Quebec junior hockey player jailed for sexually assaulting teenager in 2021

Two former Quebec junior hockey players have been sentenced to prison for sexually abusing a minor at a hotel in June 2021 following a Victoriaville Tigres championship celebration.

21-year-old Nicolas Daigle was sentenced to 32 months in prison, while 21-year-old Massimo Siciliano received a 30-month prison sentence.

The couple pleaded guilty last October to sexually abusing a 17-year-old girl in the early hours of June 6, 2021, while Daigle also pleaded guilty to two counts of filming the act and showing a video of it.

At the time of the attack, they were members of the Victoriaville team in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League, and the club was celebrating winning the championship trophy on June 5, 2021.

The victim, whose identity is protected by a publication ban, was an employee of the Quebec City-area hotel where the team was staying during the 2021 playoffs.

She had agreed to go to the hotel room with just Daigle, but when she arrived, she found that Siciliano was also there and felt trapped before being attacked by both of them for about 40 minutes.
