Four people killed in mass shooting in Florence, Kentucky



A mass shooting in Kentucky left four people dead and three others fighting for their lives.

The police were called, the 2600 block of Ridgecrest Drive in Florence just before 3 a.m.

The suspect led police on a wild chase before turning the gun on himself.

Upon arrival, police found four dead and three others seriously injured, who were taken to the intensive care unit at UC Hospital.

When they arrived, the shooter had already fled the scene, but was later discovered, leading to a chase.

Shortly before 3 a.m., police were called to the 2600 block of Ridgecrest Drive in Florence.

The pursuit ended on Dale Heimbrock Way when the suspect fell into a ditch, FOX19 reports.

When the police reached his vehicle, he had sustained a gunshot wound.

He was taken to St. Elizabeth’s, where he later died. Details of his identity have not been released.

There remains a strong police presence on site while the investigation is ongoing.
