Houston western clothing store Pinto Ranch reopens under new management after abrupt closure in June

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A popular Western clothing store that has been a Houston staple for two decades has reopened after closing abruptly in June.

Pinto Ranch welcomed customers back to its Houston and Dallas stores on Friday.

The previous owner, Guido Caranti, recently sold the company in an attempt to save it.

“We recognize there was some uncertainty surrounding the reopening of Pinto Ranch, but we worked hard with the previous owner to save this iconic Texas brand. We are excited to announce the reopening of our Dallas and Houston locations and welcome back our valued customers,” COO Lamar McCubbin said in a press release.

On June 17, ABC13 saw several customers walk into the Post Oak Plaza store and be met with a sign on the door that read, “This store is closed until further notice.” Neighboring businesses said Pinto Ranch had closed the week before.

A social media post on June 7 announced a summer sale. People responded in the comments that their orders had been canceled without explanation. Pinto Ranch’s social media account did not respond to those comments.

Their offices in Dallas and Bush International Airport were also abruptly closed.

In a press release, the new owners said they would be running promotions at both establishments with exclusive discounts to welcome back customers.
