LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (WDRB) — A man’s truck sinks in the Ohio River and is arrested by police on drug charges after being rescued.
On Friday, Harrison County, Indiana, sheriff’s deputies and Indiana State Police patrol officers received a call about a submerged truck at the Mauckport Boat Ramp in Mauckport, Indiana, just across the street from Brandenburg, Kentucky.
When police arrived, they found a Ford truck almost completely submerged in water. Officers said the driver of the truck drove too far down the ramp.
When rescue crews pulled the truck out, police discovered that the driver, 61-year-old James Schuppert, had an arrest warrant for drug offenses.
Schuppert was arrested on two counts of meth offense and is being held in the Harrison County Jail.
