Some co-ops in Western Canada still closed after cybersecurity incidents – Winnipeg Free Press

One of the most well-known stores in Western Canada says it has fallen victim to a cybersecurity incident.

In a tweet, Federated Co-op Ltd. confirmed that the incident has impacted some of its customer-facing systems and may continue to impact the inventory of certain food items.

Co-op first tweeted about the incident on Thursday, saying its stores and cardlock petrol stations were affected.

Co-op says there is currently no evidence that customer data has been compromised.

The company says it will take appropriate action in the event of any changes.
