Armed suspect found dead after 17-hour standoff in Tarzana – Daily News

An armed suspect who was involved in a nearly 17-hour standoff with Los Angeles Police Department officers in Tarzana was found dead early Friday morning.

Police were called to the 5700 block of Etiwanda Avenue around 10:30 a.m. Thursday for a domestic violence incident, the LAPD said.

An LAPD SWAT team was called to the scene to assist with surrender negotiations.

The suspect was found dead in the home at 3 a.m. Friday, LAPD Officer Rosario Cervantes told City News Service.

There were no further details.
