Police close part of the Preston Highway

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – There was a heavy police presence in south Louisville late Wednesday night.

Police are closing the road on Preston Highway just off East Indian Trail, east of the airport.

MetroSafe confirmed that a serious accident and fire occurred.

Authorities closed the road for more than 30 minutes.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
