Police: Charges against five youths in connection with car theft

CARY, N.C. (WTVD) – Five teenagers have been charged after they stole a car in Durham, according to Cary police.

According to police, officers discovered the vehicle with all five teens inside near a Publix grocery store.

The teens then ran away from the vehicle and into the store. Police said one of the teens suffered a medical emergency and was taken to the hospital after possibly swallowing something.

The other four juveniles were taken into custody by Cary police and later released to their parents.

Police said charges had been filed in the case.
