4 players who made the most of the Buffalo Bills’ mandatory minicamp

The Buffalo Bills finished their minicamp this week and it was the last chance for players to make an impact before regrouping for training camp. This is a big opportunity as a number of players are fighting for a bigger role in 2024 or even just to make the roster.

Among some of the testimonials from those in attendance, these are the four players in particular who made the most of practices this week during the Buffalo Bills minicamp.

While the Buffalo Bills had Rasul Douglas in practice for the first time this season, Christian Benford was out for personal reasons. This gave Kaiir Elam a chance to play with the starters and all indications were that he looked really good.

Elam would have interceptions in the first two days of minicamp and what was most notable was that both interceptions came from Josh Allen. This is a pivotal season for Elam as he attempts to break into the starting lineup and make an impact after the Bills drafted him in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

The former Florida Gators cornerback hasn’t been able to consistently hold down that starting job. Even with a good summer, there’s no guarantee he’ll be a starter since Benford and Douglas played very well last season, but it would certainly be a boost for the position as a whole if Elam takes that next step.
