Officials identify man found dead after tractor crash and fire in Suffolk – The Virginian-Pilot

Suffolk firefighters have identified the man who died in a tractor crash and subsequent fire over the weekend.

Shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday, emergency crews were dispatched to the 4400 block of Holland Road after a power outage and brush fire were reported. Upon arrival, Engine 7 augmented the response due to a large fire in the area. Crews found a tractor that had been hauling a shipping container.

Brandon Teague, 37, of Greensboro, North Carolina, was found dead in the cab of the tractor. Investigators determined that the tractor’s tank had burst.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is still ongoing.
