‘Amazing young man’ killed in bizarre accident in Hudson Valley

The Hudson Valley is mourning the loss of a 13-year-old with “unlimited” potential who died in a bizarre accident.

It happened on Sunday shortly before 6 p.m. in the Lower Hudson Valley.

13-year-old killed in Harrison, New York

According to officials, 13-year-old Mark Anthony Giordano was riding his bike with friends on the roof of a Metro-North parking garage when he accidentally fell from the five-story building.

The eighth-grader lost control of his electric bike on the top floor of the Metro-North Harrison Station parking garage and fell over the edge of the parking garage.

The 13-year-old from Harrison was taken to White Plains Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, reports confirm.

GoFundMe raises $130,000 in two days

Countless donations are received for the child’s family.

“His promise and ability in football and wrestling were limitless. We will miss him as he was a gentle soul and a loyal friend to all he came into contact with in such a short time here,” the GoFundMe campaign states.

Giordano attended Lewis M. Klein Middle School. The Harrison Central School District is offering support to all students, faculty and staff affected by Mark’s death.

The Harrison wrestling team says Mark was an “amazing young man” who had “unlimited” potential in football and wrestling.
