28-year-old woman dies after being attacked by a cow on a farm in upstate New York

A woman working on a farm was attacked and killed by a cow in Lisbon, New York, on Sunday, authorities said.

Flor L. Lopez, 28, was working with a newborn calf at the Flack Farm when a nearby cow attacked her, hitting her several times, according to a Facebook post from the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

Lopez was taken to Claxton Hepburn Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries, officials said.

The investigation is ongoing and an autopsy is expected to determine the exact cause of Lopez’s death, officials said.
