Cumberland County man dies after car crash

DICKINSON TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania (WHTM) – A Cumberland County man has died after a car crash.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Charles Leeds, 88, of Carlisle, was traveling south on Walnut Bottom Road toward Centerville Road on May 31. The vehicle crossed the northbound lane, left the roadway and struck a tree stump on the left shoulder of Walnut Bottom Road.

Leeds was extricated from the vehicle by civilians and picked up by Cumberland Goodwill EMS.

According to state police, Leeds was pronounced dead at UPMC Carlisle.
