Investigation underway after 2-year-old boy drowned in Brockton pool, prosecutor says – Boston 25 News

BROCKTON, Massachusetts – Detectives are investigating the suspected drowning death of a 2-year-old boy Saturday morning in Brockton, authorities said.

According to Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz and Brockton Police, emergency responders cared for the unresponsive toddler before taking him to Good Samaritan Hospital only to find him around 9:15 a.m., when a child was found in a backyard swimming pool at 111 Ardsley Circle.

The victim, whose identity has not yet been established, was pronounced dead in hospital.

Massachusetts State Police patrol officers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office are assisting Brockton Police in the investigation.
