Akron police say ‘frustrated’ suspect left home in middle of Dollar Tree robbery

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – Akron police said an investigation is underway after a robber targeted a Dollar Tree but left without taking anything.

It happened around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday at the store in the 1000 block of East Tallmadge Avenue.

According to police, an employee reported that shortly before closing time, a man dressed all in black entered the store and pulled out a gun.

The employee told police the robber “appeared to be frustrated with the delay” in getting into the store office and left.

Police described the suspect as 5’8″ tall and of slim build.
