Last week, an Arkona man was arrested in Marietta on fentanyl-related charges.

On May 30, agents with the Southeast Ohio Major Crimes Task Force conducted a probable cause search of a black SUV parked on a residential property in Pioneer Township, Marietta, after a police dog sniffed loose in the air and pointed to the driver’s side of the vehicle, according to a news release from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

The press release states that agents found 45.85 grams of suspected fentanyl and arrested 21-year-old Coty Terrell Frazier Jr. of Akron.

Frazier was charged with first-degree fentanyl trafficking and first-degree fentanyl possession, the press release said.

Frazier appeared in Marietta City Court on May 31 and was held on $150,000 bail and a personal oath, the news release said.

Washington County Jail records show Frazier was still being held there.
