Dam closed due to “incident”

Drivers traveling from the Northshore to the New Orleans area must take either Interstate 55 or Interstate 10 Twin Span.

According to Causeway Police, the southbound lanes of the Causeway are closed to traffic until further notice. Authorities are calling an “incident” the reason for the road closure, but have not disclosed what type of incident it was.
