Poznan carnival closed due to major brawl, police said

POSEN, Ill. (CBS) — According to the Poznan police, a fair in the southern suburb of Poznan was canceled on Sunday evening due to a large brawl.

At around 7 p.m., police announced the closure of the fair and said officers had responded to the incident and were now working to disperse the crowd at the fair.

Police said it was “a difficult decision to cancel the event for the safety of all participants.”

Several arrests were made in connection with the brawl.

Police asked residents to avoid the carnival grounds on Sunday evening.
