Man found shot at gas station in northwest Miami-Dade; shooter at large – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) – Police are searching for a gunman who allegedly opened fire at a gas station in northwest Miami-Dade, killing a man.

Miami-Dade Police units responded to the Sunflex station in the area of ​​Northwest 17th Avenue and 79th Street at around 12:35 p.m. Saturday.

When police arrived, they found the victim in a large green sedan full of bullet holes.

Paramedics from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

A bystander said he had seen the victim several times.

“I was shocked because I knew the guy and he never harassed anyone. When I found out it was him, I thought, ‘I don’t know him, but I see him a lot.'” He said, ‘That really bothered me a little bit, you know? And I was like, ‘Wow,'” he said.

The homicide squad has not released any further details; the investigation is ongoing.
