Capitol Police arrest man for shooting in residential home

JACKSON, Mississippi (WJTV) – Capitol Police have arrested a 39-year-old man for shooting into an occupied home.

The incident occurred on Wednesday 29 May at around 10pm in the North West Street area.

Bailey Martin, spokeswoman for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said officers located the suspect, 39-year-old Jermichael Griffin. They said Griffin admitted to firing a shot in the area.

Griffin was charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
