Russian troops attack community in Kharkiv suburbs with rockets, no casualties

UKRAINE, KHARKIV REGION, May 30 – At around 2:30 a.m., the Russian army launched five attacks with S-300 missiles on the infrastructure and residential area of ​​the Mala Danylivka township in Kharkiv region, village head Oleksandr Hololobov reported.

Cities and villages in Kharkiv Oblast, especially border settlements, have been subjected to massive Russian artillery shelling and air strikes since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region toward Vovchansk and Lyptsi on May 10.

The village chief said no one was injured, but rabbits were killed in the rocket attack.

As part of the same missile attack, the Russian military also attacked Kharkiv’s critical infrastructure, said the city’s mayor, Ihor Terekhov.

A fire broke out at the impact site. The rockets damaged a gas pipeline and shattered windows in nearby houses. Seven people were injured, Terekhov said.

In total, Russia has attacked Kharkiv 1,700 times with missiles, glide bombs or drone strikes since January 2024, Oleh Syniehubov said in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda published on May 25. 230 of these were missile attacks.
