SI suspended due to group conflict in Bellur

Basavaraju Chincholi, the Sub-Inspector (SI) of Bellur police station, was suspended on Wednesday for dereliction of duty in connection with the gang clash reported in the village in the taluk on Monday evening.

Police Commissioner N. Yatish issued the suspension orders, citing dereliction of duty as the fact that the complaint was not received on the same day.

It is said that when the family members of injured Abhilash came to Bellur police station on the evening of May 27 to lodge a complaint, the sub-inspector did not receive the complaint. Hence, they complained about him to the sub-inspector. Based on the complaint, the sub-inspector was suspended.
