Boone County prosecutors have charged 34-year-old Quanina Lambert with first-degree murder for Sunday night’s killing on Rice Road (mug photo dated May 28, 2024 courtesy of Boone County Sheriff’s Department website).

Columbia police have arrested three adults and taken two juveniles into custody in connection with Sunday evening’s fatal shooting on Rice Road north of Clark Lane.

Boone County prosecutors have charged Jordan Brantley, 18, of Columbia, and Quanina Lambert, 34, of Columbia, with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence. Both are being held without bail. Shannon Glasgow, 33, of Columbia, is charged with tampering with evidence and obstruction of justice. A warrant has been issued for Glasgow’s arrest. Columbia police are currently searching for Glasgow.

The shooting victim was identified as 18-year-old Trevon Ashcraft of Columbia, who was shot in the head and pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The Columbia Police Department’s three-page, heavily redacted probable cause statement against Brantley suggests that Ashcraft was in the line of fire during the shooting. Court records do not yet say what caused the shooting, but court records say Jordan Brantley allegedly showed up at the crime scene on Boyd Lane that evening wearing a black ski mask.
