Hudson Valley Dodge manager killed in dealership incident

A Hudson Valley Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram sales manager was killed Monday in Newburgh, authorities said.

According to Newburgh City Police, the 41-year-old man, whom the family identified as Justin Grater, was struck in front of the dealership on 10,000 miles by another man who was parking one of their Jeep Wranglers.

They say the unknown driver pulled into a parking space, accelerated and struck the victim, who was walking in front of the vehicle. According to police, the dealership employee was trapped under the SUV and pronounced dead at the hospital.

Authorities say the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
