3 school buses involved in crash on I-55 bridge near Channahon

WILL COUNTY, Ill. – Three school buses were involved in a crash on I-55 near the Des Plaines River Bridge Tuesday morning.

The accident occurred in the northbound lane near the 246 mile marker. According to police, no serious injuries have been reported at this time.

The accident involved three school buses from Reed-Custer High School.

Police said they are working to get everyone off the highway. It is not known whether anyone suffered minor injuries.
