Government Rajaji Hospital hearse driver attacked

The driver of a hearse, V. Suresh, belonging to the Government Rajaji Hospital, was attacked by one of the people accompanying a body in Teppakulam on Monday. Police said Suresh would take Karuppaiah’s body to Nedungulam on Monday afternoon. As the vehicle moved towards Teppakulam, P. Manikandan of Virathanur used abusive language against Suresh and asked him to slow down. The driver got out of the vehicle and warned him about using the offensive language. Manikandan suddenly picked up a log and attacked Suresh with his head. However, others stopped him from attacking Suresh further. Suresh was taken to GRH.
