Serious accident closes road south of Millsboro – first state update

Delaware State Police are investigating a serious accident that occurred at 8:37 a.m. Tuesday morning in Sussex County.

The incident occurred in the area of ​​30088 Iron Branch Road, southeast of Millsboro. Crews from Dagsboro Fire Company, Millsboro Fire Company, Sussex County Paramedics and Delaware State Police responded to the crash.

In a statement, Delaware State Police noted that Iron Branch Road, particularly in the area of ​​Lewis Lane, is currently closed due to the severity of the accident. They urged drivers to find alternative routes to avoid delays.

At least one patient was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. A child was also transported.
