Girl attacked by dog ​​in ‘vicious incident’ on golf course

A GIRL was bitten on the leg by a dog in a “nasty incident”.

The teenager had been cycling with her family at Queen’s Park golf course in Bournemouth when a dog ran across the path and bit her.

When asked, the man left the crime scene with the dog without revealing his details, the police said.

Due to her injuries, her leg required stitches.

The man is described as being around 50 years old, of medium height and with a gray stubble beard. He wore a dark blue bobble hat, a blue raincoat, burgundy fleece, blue waterproof pants with black patches on the knees and pockets, and white sneakers.

Meanwhile, police described the dog as medium-sized with light brown and white short fur.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward following the attack at around 7.50pm on Sunday, April 21.

Constable Lily Edgar, of Bournemouth Police, said: “This was a serious incident in which a child suffered injuries to his leg.

“We have been carrying out inquiries into this incident and as we have now received full details from the victim’s mother, I can appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to contact us.

“I would also urge the man involved to do the right thing and contact us so we can consider your report of the incident.”
