Police search for couple who attacked bus driver with broken bottle in Queens

A callous couple attacked a 37-year-old man on a bus in Queens, repeatedly hitting their victim on the head with a glass bottle, police said Saturday.

The victim was on the Q53 bus passing the corner of 101st Avenue and Woodhaven Boulevard in Ozone Park around 1:30 p.m. on July 7 when an argument broke out between the three, police said.

The police did not initially disclose what the fight was about.

As the argument became more heated, the couple hit their victim with a glass bottle and smashed it over his head.

They continued to hit their victim with the broken bottle, causing deep cuts to her head and face before getting off the bus.

Emergency services took the victim to Jamaica Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Investigators found surveillance footage showing the couple on a street near where the attack occurred.

Police released the photos on Saturday in the hope that someone would recognize the couple.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be treated confidentially.
