Boulder police ask public for help in investigation into suspicious death

Police are asking the public for help in investigating the suspicious death of a 19-year-old woman who was found dead in downtown Boulder on July 14.

Zaria Hardee, 19, was found dead wrapped in several layers on a bike trailer. Nearly two weeks after the discovery, police are asking anyone who saw the bike trailer between July 10 and July 12 in the area of ​​Canyon Boulevard and 18th Street to come forward. Anyone who recognizes the black motorcycle cover with the lion motif is also asked to come forward with any information they have.

According to a news release, police were called to the 1800 block of Goss Street because an unusual bike trailer had been there for several days. Police believe Hardee was homeless, and the cause and manner of death are currently under investigation by the Boulder County Coroner, police wrote.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Boulder Police Tipline at 303-441-1974 or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 and reference case number 24-6910. Police wrote that tipsters can remain anonymous and are eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to an arrest.
