DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The medical examiner has identified the two men found dead in a vehicle on Hoover Road near Cleverly Road last week.

On Thursday, July 18, officers were called to a crime scene on Cleverly Road where they found a man with gunshot wounds who was taken to hospital.

When officers arrived on scene, they found that a vehicle had driven into a nearby home. Inside they found Damarius Underwood, 18, and Dejuan Hooker, 25.

Since the incident occurred in broad daylight, police are hoping for witness statements that could help with the investigation.

“At this point, we have no suspects at all. There are people of interest,” said Dayton Police Sergeant Creigee Coleman.

“We need the public’s help to solve this crime because someone may have seen or heard something. If you have a doorbell, a buzzer or a camera, please contact the police or the regional dispatch center so we can solve this crime and close this family’s case.”

Dayton Police say the Homicide Unit is currently investigating the incident. Anyone with information or surveillance footage related to this incident is asked to contact Dayton Police at 937-333-COPS.
