3 people killed, another in critical condition after accident in Lawrence County

SLIPPERY ROCK TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania (KDKA) – Three people are dead and another is in critical condition after an accident in Lawrence County.

The single-vehicle crash was reported shortly after midnight Saturday morning on State Route 65 in Slippery Rock Township.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, a Nissan Armada was traveling in the southbound lane before crossing into the northbound lane and eventually leaving the road entirely.

According to a state police report, the car struck two power poles, drove into a yard and then hit a parked car before being thrown through the air and coming to a stop.

The driver of the vehicle, 44-year-old Nathan Bogacki, and a 13-year-old boy named Grant Bogacki were both ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, according to Lawrence County Coroner Richard M. Johnson.

A 17-year-old girl named Emma Bogacki was trapped in the vehicle and was later pronounced dead at the scene, Coroner Johnson added.

A 10-year-old girl was freed from the vehicle by rescue workers and flown by helicopter to Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital. Her condition was last classified as critical.

According to the coroner, all three victims died as a result of blunt force trauma.

The Lawrence County Coroner’s Office and the Pennsylvania State Police will continue the investigation.
