Saskatoon police say a woman was followed home, sexually assaulted and robbed

Saskatoon police are investigating a sexual assault and robbery in the city’s Westview neighbourhood early Friday morning.

At around 1:20 a.m., officers responded to a robbery in the 3100 block of West 33rd Street, police said in a news release.

When they arrived, the suspect had already fled.

They found and spoke with the victim. The victim said she was followed home by a man she did not know. She said he sexually assaulted and robbed her, the press release said.

The suspect is described as a 20 to 25 year old man of medium build wearing a black hoodie with the hood pulled up, red shorts and red Air Jordan sneakers.

The police investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact them at 306-975-8300 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online.
