Investigations are underway after two people were found dead in the house

CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. – A local sheriff’s office is launching an investigation into the deaths of two people.

Investigators with the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office confirm they are conducting a death investigation near the 3200 block of Highway 88 between Alamo and Maury City.
The Crockett County Sheriff’s Office, Crockett County Emergency Medical Services and the Crockett County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene where two people were found dead inside a home.
District Attorney Frederick Agee was notified by Sheriff Troy Klyce and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation was called to the scene.

“We don’t know the time frame, we are now working to create a timeline of events. That is certainly part of the investigation. The TBI, the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department investigators, are investigating all of this, all of the related information,” said Stephen Sutton, public information officer for the Crockett Co. Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Klyce says this is an ongoing investigation.
He also believes that this is an isolated incident and that there is no danger to the public.
