Soulja Boy sues Tasha K for alleged sexual encounter with a man

Soulja Boy sues social media personalities Tasha K And William the Evil charged with defamation after allegedly making false statements about the rapper having a sexual encounter with a man.

In a lawsuit filed Tuesday in a Los Angeles court, Soulja Boy (DeAndre Cortez Way) cited a May interview on Tasha K’s celebrity gossip podcast in which William allegedly described explicit details of an alleged affair he had with the “Crank That” rapper.

Soulja Boy’s lawyers say these statements are false and have “caused embarrassment and shame that could cause fans to abandon him and withdraw their support.”

“Plaintiff has suffered actual reputational and professional harm because Defendants maliciously attacked Plaintiff and attempted to sabotage his career by redefining his character as a man who is not sincere, a fraud and dishonest person in the entertainment industry and as a public figure, which is not true,” the rapper’s lawyers wrote.

It is not the first time that Tasha K (Latasha Kebe) was accused of defaming someone on “UnWine With TashaK.” In 2022, Cardi B won a nearly $4 million defamation award against her for making lewd statements about drug use, sexually transmitted diseases and prostitution. Tasha has since tried to avoid the bulk of the judgment via Chapter 11 bankruptcy, but a judge rejected that attempt last year.

In the new case, Soulja Boy’s lawyers are challenging statements made during a May 16 “revealing interview” in which William (William Thomas) reported an “allegedly intimate moment” with the rapper.

According to quotes from the lawsuit, William said, “So I went over there, got on my knees, he was sitting on the edge of the bed. I started giving him oral, it’s a big deal and it grew, you know, to the left.” The video itself no longer appears to be available on Tasha’s YouTube channel and could not be verified by Billboard.

After the interview became public, Soulja Boy said William had “harassed and tormented” him on social media, including an X-post with a “defamatory and embarrassing sexually edited image” allegedly showing him with the rapper. William’s post allegedly urged his followers to click on a page on OnlyFans – a website often used to share sexually explicit images.

“Even if the publications are deleted, the plaintiff will suffer permanent damage because the publications will never be removed from the Internet,” the rapper’s lawyers write.

A few days after the interview was first published, Soulja Boy’s lawyers sent Tasha and William a cease and desist letter demanding that they remove the “false, malicious and completely outrageous” statements. The letter warned that they had “already committed tortious acts that entitle Mr. Way to damages” and that if they do not stop, “their liability for such damages will increase.”

Neither William nor an attorney for Tasha K. immediately responded to requests for comment Thursday.
