Bhopal: An 18-year-old girl allegedly befriended an accused in Ashoka Garden and abducted her on the pretext of marriage. Police said the 18-year-old survivor knew the accused, who lives in her neighbourhood. He lured her into a friendship trap and abducted her on July 5 without informing anyone. When the girl’s family members could not find her, they registered her missing person complaint with Ashoka Garden police. During investigation, police found out about the girl’s friendship with the accused, officials said. Police arrested the girl on Thursday. The girl told that the accused took her to Badi Bareilly in Raisen district on the pretext of marriage, where he locked her in a rented room and raped her. Police said a case has been registered and further investigation is on. TNN
